McLaren Artura. This month old beast came to us as part of our partnership with @supercarowneruk , with the owner taking advantage of the fantastic discounts available through their membership. Opting for a full new car prep, we carried out our usual 5 step decontamination wash, before clay barring the paintwork to remove any stubborn contaminants. Once we moved the car into our bay, it became clear the paintwork had been pretty badly swirled already. We had to get creative with our choice of compound and pad, but with our extensive experience and knowledge of compounds, we managed to get a stunning result in one stage. Once this was done, we applied @carpro_official D-Quartz to give the paintwork a harder layer of defence against swirls, topped with Reload for fantastic slickness. Tesla Model 3. This car came to us from a repeat customer, who has been using us for the last 4 years. His Tesla’s pearlescent paint was looking a bit tired, so we opted to carry out a multi stage machine polish to remove extensive swirls, including some deeper marks that needed to be wet sanded. The last two images show the paint after the heavy cutting, and then again once refined. VW ID BUZZ. This week old van was brought to us for a full new car prep. The owner had been offered ceramic coatings from the dealership, but made the wise choice to come to ourselves. We carried out our usual decontamination wash and clay bar treatment, before assessing the paintwork. The paintwork was in an appalling state for a new vehicle, so as always we machine polished it: swipe for the before and after videos! McLaren 600LT. The first car of 2025, and what a way to begin! This car was collected from our customer’s house, and brought back to our detailing studio. Ferrari Purosangue. This car came to us for coatings on the dealership installed PPF. The PPF was given a light machine polish to remove any chemical etching given that it was a year old, before we applied two coats of @carpro_official C-Quartz Professional. Jaguar XK. This car came to us for some serious TLC, after the owner decided it was time to get it looking its best. We carried out our usual 5 step decontamination process, before setting about the car with Menzerna 300 Super Heavy Cut, as well as some localised wet sanding on deeper scratches. Once the first stage was complete, we then carried out a refining stage using Menzerna 3500, to remove any marring and ‘milkiness’ left by the first stage. Whilst we were doing this, @directfinish_ltd refurbished all four wheels back to brand new, and once they were back we coated the paintwork with @carpro_official C-Quartz UK, and the wheels with CarPro D-Lux. The final touches were a thorough clean of the cream leather, and tyre shine using CarPro Darkside. A really enjoyable turn around, but don’t just take our word for it; the customer dropped a lovely card off a few days later thanking us for our hard work! TVR Tuscan. This car came to us for an extensive paint protection film install following a full repaint and retrim lasting almost a year. We first machine polished the entire car, before installing @suntekfilms to the bonnet(s), wings, pepper pot grill, doors, wing mirrors, and roof. We also added some pieces around the boot to prevent damage when placing the roof panel inside!
